Hallo,

does anyone know how can I make use of the E-Bookers exclusive offer?

Apparently the page with the Ebookers' reduction code does not open.
Could you please help? (I have to book a flight rather urgently)

Thanks & Regards

Hi Andrei,

I'm one of glocals.com's moderators.

The ebookers discount works fine when I try it (just tried it several times).

Could you pls try again to go to this ebookers glocals' discount page?

If there's still an issue, pls let me know (either via this forum, or call me on 078.883.60.05) and we'll find a solution to ensure you get the glocals discount.

Nir

Hallo Nir

Thanks for your reply.

The page does open correctly, you're right. But once you get to confirming the reservation, you are asked for an (optional) ebookers code, which I find nowhere.

I'll try calling you to explain the problem better.

Regards

Andrei

you dont need the ebookers code, just continue and you will see the correct price with the discount in the box OUR PRICE, usually right after the airport taxes.

i'd be interested to know will you really save anything by booking with ebookers even with the discount, instead of at the actual airline sites? Myself I try ebookers each time and its always more expensive, but maybe it depends on where you are going.

Floyd:

Interesting question. I forwarded it to the ebookers marketing director, and I hope he'll decide to share some data with us via the forums.

Floyd,
The price difference depends on the airline, the destination and the booking period. In fact, some airlines occasionally keep a few seats in the lowest booking class for their internet sales (especially for European destinations), but in general you will find cheaper flights (exclusive fares) on the www.ebookers.ch website because of our regular price negociation with airlines. As we offer a best price guarantee on flights, our objective is logically to always display the best deals.

Matthias:
Thanks for taking the time to share your reply with us.

Floyd:
Does that answer your question, and is there anything else to ask Matthias about ebookers, while we have his ear?

it's very nice that ebookers take the time to read the feedback about them and to reply. nice client service.

mr. Thurer,

in case you are reading this:

i find the ebookers price to be competetive (and cheaper with the glocals discount). where i find you less good is on the selection of flights, which is not as robust in some cases as that of other sites the aggregate flights, like orbitz or travelocity, for the same routes.

but your site is good, and i like very much the fact you took the time to reply on this site.

E-bookers is really competitive but I had real problems with them.  If you try to cancel or change a booking, it is really difficult to get refunded and it is well-nigh impossible to get any help from their customer service which is a distant call centre giving standard answers and not responding to particular requests or problems.  Be careful.

I totally agree. I had a problem when flying to Morocco. Our bagage got delayed for 24hours and so we had to buy stuff. I have written both to e-bookers and to the airline and still haven't heard anything from them (it's been 2 months...)

Also, as far as prices are concerned, I always double check using cheap airlines like easyjet and I usually look up the website of the hotel ebookers offers; sometimes it is cheaper to contact the hotel directly...
